Brackley School of Motoring offers advice on theory preparation. It’s worth noting that you should allow approximately 1 hour to complete parts 1 and 2 of the Theory Test. Being able to answer 43 out of 50 multiple choice questions will result in a pass on Part 1 and a score of 44 out of 75 on the Hazard Perception will result in a pass for part 2.
The current cost of the theory test is £31.00
Practical Driving Test
The practical part of the driving test now includes Show Me, Tell Me where pupils are required to answer questions concerning general maintenance and safety. i.e. How to check your oil levels, checking tyre quality and pressures, checking your brakes. etc. This takes approx 10 min to teach, so dont worry too much about this part.
You will then be taken on your driving test which will last approximately 45 minutes, where you will be asked to demonstrate one of the following manoeuvres. Left reverse, turn in the road, parallel park, plus a hill start, and or an emergency stop. And also do some independent driving
The practical test costs £62.00 if taken Monday-Friday, this increases to £72.00 if taken on a weekend or on a weekday evening
